Claude Edward McAlister, 75, of Easley, husband of the late Mary Evelyn Looper McAlister, passed away Monday, December 17, 2012 at St. Francis Hospital.
Born in Anderson County, a son of the late Jessie Bennett and Bessie McAlister McAlister, Mr. McAlister was owner of C & R Auto Machine Shop and attended Marathon Community Church.
Surviving are a son, Robert McAlister (Tonya) of Easley; two daughters, Glenda Ballentine of Easley and Linda Byce (David) of North Myrtle Beach; a brother, JD McAlister of Williamston; and three grandchildren, Katelyn and Kendra McAlister and Trammell Byce.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Thursday at Marathon Community Church.
Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Wednesday at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Marathon Community Church, 315 Roe Road, Greenville, SC 29611 or to any hospice organization.
The family is at the residence.
