Mr. Claude Wilton Pruitt, 87, husband of the late Doris Thomas Pruitt, passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2018.

Born in Mt. Airy, GA, a son of the late Emory Spear and Ruby Blair Pruitt, Mr. Pruitt was the retired owner and operator of Pruitt Pool Service and was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church. He was a US Army Veteran having served during the Korean War.

Surviving are two daughters, Debbie P. "Deb" Wallace of Fair Play, SC, and Sherri P. Hayes (Russell) of Millersville, MD; three sisters, Emaline Pearson and Mary Ellen Collins, both of Greenville and Lurline Finley of Taylors; four grandchildren, Brittany Zeller (Peter), Tenley Amerson (Jerry), Christopher Hayes and Ashley Roe (Nathan); and two great-grandchildren, Deacon and Lilly Zeller. In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Pruitt was predeceased by a brother, Tom Pruitt; and two sisters, Katherine Whitten and Linda McHugh.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday, April 8, 2018 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home Powdersville Road with Rev. Dr. David Gallamore officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park with military honors.

The family will receive friends from noon until 1:45 PM Sunday at the funeral home, prior to the service.

Family members are at their respective homes.
