Claudette C. Derrberry

Claudette Campbell Derrberry, 95, wife of the late John William Derrberry, went to be with the Lord and Savior Friday, May 22, 2026.

Born in Mobile, GA, she was the daughter of the late James Gordon Campbell and Vernie Lanning Campbell.

Through three generations, Claudette worked at Patterson's State Farm Insurance in Clemson. Claudette enjoyed various hobbies from gardening, to the craftier, like creating beautiful greeting cards, sewing, and decorating beautiful cakes for any celebration.

She is survived by her beloved children Mike Derrberry of Clemson, SC, and Cathy D. Hall (Rick) also of Clemson, SC; her grandchildren Will Hall, Alyssa Derrberry, and Brooke Derrberry; her sister-in-law Ruth Kelly; nephews, George (Buddy) Campbell; Jim and Scott Kelly; and nieces, June Verhine and Leslie Kelly.

In addition to her loving husband and her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers George and Vernon Campbell; and her nephews Dane Allen, Eddie, and Bill Campbell.

She was a member of First Baptist Church of Clemson.

A visitation in honor of Claudette will be held Tuesday, May 26,2026 from 6:00PM until 8:00 PM.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at 2:00PM at Mobile Baptist Church Cemetery in McCaysville, GA, 4971 Mobile Road, McCaysville, GA 30555.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Clemson, or the Alzheimer’s Association at alz.org
