Mrs. Claudia Faye Ford Stewart, 87, wife of the late Johnnie Dorsey Stewart, went to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday, October 23, 2021.
Born in Anderson County, a daughter of the late John Claude Ford and the late Maybell Lollis Ford, Mrs. Stewart was a graduate of Easley High School and retired from Sangamo Electric. She was a long time member of Rock Springs Baptist Church.
Faye dearly loved her family and spending time with them. She was always helping others and will be dearly missed by all who loved and knew her.
Surviving are her son, Ronnie Bruce Stewart and his wife, Bonnie, of Easley; a sister, Lois Smith of Easley; her two grandchildren, Shay Stewart Vinson and her husband, Derek, and Chad Stewart; and her two great-grandchildren, Landen and Laney Vinson. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Stewart was predeceased by a brother, Clyde Hammonds; and three sisters, Lura McAlister, Kathleen Lesley and Frances Mauldin.
Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
No formal visitation is planned. Mrs. Stewart will lie in state for viewing Tuesday, October 26, 2021 from 12:00 PM until 5:00 PM at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown.
The family is at the home of her granddaughter and son-in-law, Shay and Derek Vinson.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff members of The Retreat of Easley for the love and care they have provided for Mrs. Stewart.
