Mrs. Cleo Cauble Brown, 87, wife of the late Harold Coyt Brown, Sr., went to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, May 9, 2022.

Born in Gaston County, NC, a daughter of the late Aaron Worth Cauble and the late Nettie Lynn Cauble, Mrs. Brown retired from West End Elementary School. She was an active member of St. Andrew United Methodist Church for more than fifty-five years where she was a member of the Lucille Searcy Circle, taught Sunday School and served as leader of the Methodist Youth Foundation.

Cleo volunteered for Meals on Wheels. She loved gardening, but her greatest love was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Cleo will be dearly missed by all who loved and knew her. 

Surviving are her two sons, Coyt Brown (Denise), and Scott Brown, both of Easley; her daughter, Cindy Brown Smith (Troy) of Easley; her brother, Berry Cauble of Gastonia, NC; a sister, Lynn Helton of Gastonia, NC; her three grandchildren, Adam Hale (Monique), Maegan Brown, and Lauren Ellenburg (Nathan); and her four great-grandchildren, Allie Ellenburg, Jaxon Hale, Madelyn Ellenburg, and Stanley Hale. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Brown was predeceased by two sisters, Peggy Adams and Patty White.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at St. Andrew United Methodist Church. Entombment will follow in the Hillcrest Memorial Park Mausoleum.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 1:45 PM Wednesday at the church, prior to the service.

The family is at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Troy Smith.
