Clifford Newell Nolan, 84, of Clemson, SC, and beloved husband and father died Saturday, March 27, 2010.
Born in Live Oak, FL on October 22, 1925, he was the son of the late Newell and Mary Nixon Nolan. After earning his Doctorate from the University of Florida he was a Professor of Agronomy with the Clemson University Extension Service. He was a member of Clemson United Methodist Church and a WWII veteran of the US Marine Corps.
Surviving are his wife, Jean Reeves Nolan of the home; son Randall Nolan and partner Michael Killoren of Seattle, WA; daughters Sharon Elizabeth Nolan of Anderson and Patricia Nolan Ottino and husband, Robert of Hebron, KY; sisters Erma Ware of Graceville, FL and Sylvia Bradshaw of Atlanta, GA; and granddaughter, Hannah Elizabeth Ottino.
Private committal services will be held at Woodland Cemetery on the Clemson University Campus.
Memorial services will be held at 2 PM, Monday, March 29th at Clemson United Methodist Church with Rev. Pat Kelley officiating.
Visitation will be held immediately following the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the National Parkinson Foundation, 1501 N.W. 9th Ave/Bob Hope Road, Miami, FL 33136-1494.
