Clifford "Cliff" Sjolund, devoted husband and father, passed away August 14, 2008 following a long and heroic battle with multiple myeloma (blood cancer).

Mr. Sjolund was born March 19, 1929 in Deer River, Minnesota. He was career law-enforcement professional with 20 years of distinguished service in the United States Air Force (Vietnam and Cold War veteran) and 20 years as a conservation officer for the State of Minnesota. He also owned and operated his own business ventures in Minnesota for 10 years.

Mr. Sjolund was a member of the Rock Springs Baptist Church in Easley, the Masons and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Mr. Sjolund is survived by his wife, Agnes Sjolund, a daughter Linda Sharp of San Antonio, Texas, a son Cliff Sjolund Jr (Annette) of Rochester, Minnesota, five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday, August 17, 2008 at Rock Springs Baptist Church in Easley with Rev. Dr. David Gallamore and Rev. Marion Mitchell officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park in Greenville.

The body is at Robinson Funeral Home - Downtown and will be placed in the church at 12:30 PM Sunday where the family will receive friends prior to the service from 1 PM until 2 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Rock Springs Baptist Church; 201 Rock Springs Road; Easley, SC 29642 or the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (www.multiplemyeloma.org).
