Clyde Eugene "Gene” Davis, III, 44, of Easley, passed away on Saturday, July 5, 2025. Born in Greenville, SC to parents Clyde Eugene Davis, Jr. and Vickie Hudson Davis. He attended Powdersville First Baptist Church, where his church family adored him.

A proud graduate of Berea High School, Gene embraced life with a passion that left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him. Throughout his career, Gene dedicated himself to ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of medical supplies.

A true enthusiast of being outdoors, he spent countless joyful hours building and racing drag race cars, showcasing not only his mechanical skills but also his competitive nature. Gene had very successful races with his beloved Mustang at Ware Shoals Dragway. He also cherished his moments spent fishing and immersing himself in the great outdoors, where he found solace and happiness. Among his many loves, Gene had a unique adoration for snakes, both large and small, embodying his fascination with wildlife and the wonders of nature. Friends often marveled at his ability to relate and connect with such creatures, reflecting his gentle and curious spirit.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by daughter, Autumn Davis (Ashton Mabery); grandson, Austin Mabery and Baby Mabery on the way; brother, Darrell Davis; nephews, Joshua and Jeremiah Davis and their mother, Maranda Davis.

The family will receive friends on Monday, July 21, 2025 from 10:30 AM until 11:45 AM at Powdersville First Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 12:00. Burial will be held in Robinson Memorial Gardens.
