Columbus Folger Hendricks, (Bill), 94, of 836 Smith Memorial Highway passed away Sunday, August 11, 2013 at Cottingham Hospice House.
Mr. Hendricks was born in Pickens County, a son of the late, Onest Folger and Addie Smith Hendricks. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Evelyn Nations Hendricks. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
Surviving are a son, Jerry (Elaine) Hendricks of Six Mile; two daughters Willena (Bobby Joe) Townsend of Central, and Brenda (Frank) Trammell of Newberry; two brothers, Glenn (Evelyn) Hendricks and Ernest (Linda) Hendricks of Belton; seven sisters, Frances Babb of Greenville, Pauline (Malcom) Gambrell of Simpsonville, Bobbi Jean (Kip) Kennedy of Belton, Shirley Chastain of Piedmont, Oleda (Benny) Coker of Stockbridge, GA, Carolyn (Terry) McMahan and Inez Daniels both of Belton; 7 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by a son, Gene Hendricks; one brother, Junior Hendricks; and three sisters, Christine Youngblood, Pearl Youngblood and Lucille Cooley.
Funeral services will be held 4 PM Wednesday in the chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home with Revs. Alvin Crooks, Billy Ray Merck and Eddie Bledsoe officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM, Tuesday at the funeral home.
