Connie Lee Black, 79, a loving and kind-hearted soul, passed away on March 13th. She was the daughter of the late Glenn E. White, and Edith G. White.
She was known for her passion for gardening, yardwork, trees and plants, as well as her dedication to serving Refuge Baptist Church of Central, SC.
Connie was retired from Milliken-Pendleton Finishing Plant. She also was a member of the local chapter of the Red Hats Society and secretary-treasurer of her church's WMU. She was the church clerk for Refuge for over 49 years and also served as the church custodian for many years.
One of Connie's proudest accomplishments was her family. She is survived by her daughter, Beverly Stovall; brother, Glenn E. White Jr. (Gloria); grandson, Seath Stovall (Emily); and her great-grandchildren, Zhane, Edie, and Bennie, as well as her many nieces and nephew.
In addition to her parents, Connie is preceded in death by brother, Billy Joe White; sisters, Linda Ammons, and Phyllis Irvin.
Connie's legacy of love and kindness will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
A visitation will be held from 2:00 PM until 2:45 PM on Sunday, March 17th, 2024, at Refuge Baptist Church, 219 Refuge Church Rd, Central, SC 29630.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM at the church following the visitation. Burial will follow in church cemetery.
Flowers are welcome or donations can be made in her honor to Refuge Baptist Church, Central, SC.
