Connie C. Quertermous

April 26, 1952 — February 15, 2026

Clemson

Connie Quertermous, of Clemson, went to her heavenly home on February 15, 2026.

Connie dedicated her life to caring for others through her work as a nurse. Nursing was more than a profession to her—it was her calling. She offered comfort, compassion, and steady strength to countless patients and families throughout her career. Her gentle spirit and generous heart left a lasting impact on everyone she served.

Outside of her work, Connie embraced life with joy and enthusiasm. She had a special love for elephants and clowns, finding delight in their whimsy and wonder. She cherished all forms of live music and could often be found enjoying performances whenever she had the chance. A devoted movie lover, Connie also faithfully followed her favorite television show, Days of Our Lives, rarely missing an episode and always eager to discuss the latest storylines.

Connie treasured the friendships she built at the Young at Heart Senior Center, where she spent many happy hours laughing, sharing stories, and enjoying the company of dear friends. Those relationships brought her great comfort and companionship.

She will be remembered for her kindness, faith in Christ, vibrant interests, unwavering compassion, and the love she shared so freely. Connie’s presence brought warmth and light into the lives of many, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Connie was preceded in death by her parents and beloved brother, Charles.

She is survived by her sister Mildred Quertermous, nephews Barton Smith (Suzanne), Brandon Smith, and Brody Smith (Amanda), niece Sarah Van Houten (Nick), and several special great-nieces and great-nephews.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
