Constance Ann Earl
- Pendleton, SC

Mrs. Constance Ann Earl, age 77, of Pendleton passed away Tuesday, July 12.

A graduate of Eastchester High School and Alfred State College, Connie and her family resided in Alfred, NY until 1986, when she and her husband Bill relocated to Pendleton and opened The Mercantile on the square.
Having learned many skills in her father's bakery in Tuckahoe, NY, Connie worked as a caterer in Alfred and was known for her gorgeous and tasty wedding cakes. She was also an avid gardener, and many people used to drive by the house just to view the gardens in all seasons. She brought that love of gardening to South Carolina with her, transforming the gardens around their home into a welcoming oasis, and holding numerous plant sales to benefit the American Cancer Society Relay for Life fundraisers. The Mercantile was another oasis, a store that grew under her vision to a welcoming place where customers became friends, and friends became like family.

Connie is survived by her husband, William; children Susan Congdon (James), William Earl (Miwa), Therese Earl Brooks (Rodney), Cynthia Earl Higgins, Richard Earl (Alice) and Regina Arlauckas (Matthew), grandchildren Robert Congdon (Shelly), Karen Gregory (Matthew), David Earl, Christopher Earl, Benjamin Brooks, Jacob Earl, Sarah McCall, Philip McCall, and Nathan Arlauckas, brother Michael Musachio (Anne), and sisters Celeste Musachio and Carol VanGerve (Donald), numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, and was excited about the impending births of her first three great-grandchildren.

She is predeceased by her parents Michael and Lena Musachio, brother Richard Musachio and nephew John Leonard.

Visitation will take place at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home in Central, SC on Thursday, July 14 from 6-8PM with a vigil service beginning at 6:15 PM.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 15 at 10:30 AM at Saint Andrews Catholic Church in Clemson.
