Cora Selman

Cora Lee Gantt Selman, 84, of 706 Pelzer Highway, formerly of Columbia, wife of the late Frank L. Selman, died Monday, October 22, 2007 at Countryside Village in Easley.
Born in Lexington County, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Roston and Farrie Fable Jeffcoat Gantt. She was a sales manager for Sears Department Store in Columbia prior to opening Lee's, an apparel store, in West Columbia where she was a former member of the Chamber of Commerce. She was a former member of First Baptist Church of Columbia where she was active in Sunday School, WMU, and Bible School. She was currently a member of Piedmont First Baptist Church. Mrs. Selman was an avid quilter who loved making quilts for her friends and family.
Surviving are a daughter, Linda Hiott and her husband Edd of Piedmont; a son, Tony Kyzer and his wife Libby of Myrtle Beach; a sister, Mary Rucker of Lexington; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a son, Bill Brickle; two brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Thursday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Downtown with Reverend Dr. Stephen Z. Hearne officiating. Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Friday in Greenlawn Memorial Park in Columbia.
Visitation will be prior to the service on Thursday from 10:00 until 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
The Deacons of Piedmont First Baptist Church will serve as Honorary Escorts.
