Courtney Earl Heath Jr “Buddy”, 88, of Easley, South Carolina went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, April 22, 2024.
Mr. Heath is preceded in death by his wife of 62 years Mrs. Martha Faulkner Heath. He is survived by his children Mrs. Heather Heath Adams (Bryan) of Summerville, SC and the Rev. Courtney E. Heath, III. of Easley SC as well as his sister Patsy Heath Rackley of Easley, SC.
“Buddy”, as he is known by all, is the son of Mr. Courtney E. Heath, Sr. and Mrs. Zelpha “Bit” Cheek Heath and brother of the late Evelyn Heath Allgood. All preceded him in death.
Buddy grew up in the Woodside Mills area of Greenville and Easley SC. He is a 1953 graduate of Easley High School and attended Clemson University majoring in Electrical Engineering. He was a proud Army veteran. He was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church in Easley, SC. He served as an ordained Southern Baptist deacon in most of the churches he attended. He was retired from textile management and relocated throughout many NC and SC cities. He enjoyed serving others, collecting coins, and cheering for his Clemson Tigers.
Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Rock Springs Baptist Church on Sunday, April 28, 2024. The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until 1:45 PM. The Celebration of Life service will begin at 2:00 PM with the Reverend Doctor David Gallamore presiding. Music selections will be provided by Buddy’s nephew Steve Rackley and son Court Heath.
