Coy Adams, 76, of Oak Brook Drive, husband of the late Barbara Ann Lowry Adams, passed away Sunday, June 16, 2013 at his residence.
Born in Harlan, KY, a son of the late Sydney and Jessie Elm Adams, Mr. Adams retired from the US Navy after twenty-two years of service where he served in Korea and Vietnam and later worked with Marshall Williams in Greenville. He was a member of the Church of Christ and also a member of the FRA.
Surviving are a son, Robert Adams and wife, Brenda, of Taylors; a daughter, Sylvia Ann Menard and husband, Jerry, of San Antonio, TX; a brother, Eddie Adams; two sisters, Virginia Lawrence and Barbara Bush; and grandchildren, Amber Adams, Heidi Menard and Hahns Menard. In addition to his parents, Mr. Adams was predeceased by a son, Coy Lee Adams.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
