Cristopher Shawn Ray, 35, loving husband of Anthony Liccketto-Ray passed away on September 30, 2024. Born in Anderson, SC to parents Juanita Nimmons Acres and John Ray. Cris was of Baptist faith until later in life, he practiced Buddhism. Cris was fun loving and was always in the best mood. He enjoyed hiking to various sunsets and all bodies of water. Always reading, he was very intelligent and loved English and History. He was a server at Limoncello in Downtown Greenville. Cris’ family and friends describe him as giving the best hugs and extremely honest in nature.

In addition to his husband, he is survived by parents, Juanita Nimmons and Dr. Steve Acres and John Ray; Anthony’s parents, Barbara and Bob Liccketto; sisters Marissa Morgan (Cameron), Anne-Marie McKnight (Lance), Renee Shenk (Andy), and Tekendra Terry; brother, Steven Acres (Emily); four nieces; five nephews; aunt Joan Strickland and friends who were as close as family, Suzanne Jackson (Jake), Sherri Whitford and Kaylynn Cobb.

The family will hold Cris' Celebration of Life on Saturday, October 12, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Hanvey Engineering, 111 Kayaker Way, Easley, SC 29642. 

Let everyone who knew and loved Cris celebrate a life full of love. May his memory be eternal, and his legacy live on in the hearts of those who cherished him. In accordance with Cris’ love of the outdoors, his cremated remains will be placed in a biodegradable urn that will grow a beautiful magnolia tree by a lake.
