Vernard "Wormy" Benjamin, age 75, of Easley died on March 20, 2024.
He was born on September 8, 1948 to James Heyward Benjamin and Nettie Holder Benjamin. He served in the US Army in Vietnam from 1969-1975. He was a member of New Image Church for over 30 years and loved being involved with the church and missions. He worked as a machinist for many years. He loved golfing, deer hunting, motorcycles, photography, outdoors, and most of all helping others.
Vernard is survived by significant other, Shirley Watson of Easley; brothers, Terrell (Janice) Benjamin of Easley, Dale (Brenda) Benjamin of Liberty, and Trevoy Benjamin of Easley; and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents.
Visitation will be held at New Image Church at 12:30 PM-1:45 PM on Sunday, March 24th, 2024.
The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM on Sunday, March 24th, 2024.
