Curtis Arthur

February 23, 1931 — December 2, 2016

Curtis Lamar Arthur, 85, husband of Doris Parham Arthur, passed away on Friday, December 2, 2016 at Cannon Hospital in Pickens.

Mr. Arthur was born in Watkinsville, GA, and was a son of the late, Hoke Smith and Icey Gertrude Bell Arthur. He was retired from Central Textiles, was a U. S. Army Veteran and a member of Trinity Wesleyan Church.

Surviving in addition to his wife, are one son, Lamar Arthur and his wife, Beverly of Iva; one daughter, Pam Durham of Central; five sisters, Carolyn Phillips, Shirley Clark, Peggy Anthony, Lilly Griffith, and Willese Carroll; grandchildren, Jamey Arthur, Ashley Mack, Allison Ferrainolo, Sarah Moore and Will Moore; seven great grandchildren; a good friend, Eleanor Garrett.

Funeral services will be Sunday, December 4, 2016 at 3:00 PM at Trinity Wesleyan Church, with burial to follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery.

The family request those attending the funeral to wear camouflage.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 2:50 PM prior to the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the SC Autism Society, 806 12th Street, West Columbia, SC 29169.
