Cynthia Beth Smith Chapman, 59, and wife of John Chapman, of Central died Monday, May 20, 2019 after a brave and valiant battle with cancer. She was born in Seneca November 23, 1959 a daughter of Kenneth L. and Lela Beth Young Smith.
Cindy graduated from Southern Wesleyan University where she received a Bachelor's degree in early childhood development. She went on to own and operate Mt. Tot Daycare in Six Mile. Cindy was a member and pianist at the Central Church of God of Prophecy, where she was a member for thirty-four years.
Cindy is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, John Chapman of Central; three daughters, Chrystal Woody (Jonathan) of Easley, Angela Smith (Brad) of Rock Hill, and Johni Buckland (Chad) of Six Mile; a son, Randy Chapman of Central; three brothers, Ken Smith (Vicki) of Six Mile, Jeff Smith (Lynn) of Central, and Russell Smith (Teresa) of Six Mile; seven grandchildren, Abigail, Tristin, Liam, Anakit, Patience, Righteous, and Hank. In addition to her parents she was predeceased a brother, Phillip Smith.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM Thursday, May 23rd at the Central Church of God of Prophecy, 107 Martin St., in Central. Interment will be at the Six Mile Church of God of Prophecy.
The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 PM Wednesday May 22nd at the Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, 108 Cross Creek Road in Central.
