Diedrick Christion Medlin, 91, husband of Aileen Maw Medlin, passed away on Sunday, May 21, 2017 at Richard Campbell Veterans Nursing Home.

Mr. Medlin was born in Stephens County, GA and was a son of the late Samuel and Carrie Wald Medlin. He was retired from the Judson Plant of Milliken Company, after 35 years. He served in the U. S. Army in the Philippines as surgical technician in the 10th General Hospital at the end of WWII.

Surviving in addition to his wife of sixty two years are, his daughter, Mary Gibson and her husband Steve; granddaughter, Katherine Robinson; precious sisters in law, Frances Merck and Helan Maw; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one son, David Earl Medlin; sisters, Lettie Ross, Nodie Gregory, and Ruby Vinson; one brother, William Pete Medlin; one grandson, Matthew Robinson.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Central, with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 1:45 PM prior to the service at the church.
