Born in Pickens County, the son of the late Alvin B. and Gladys Hayes Childs, Dale was an Engineer with Ryobi Technology.
Surviving is a daughter, Chrisandra Lynn Childs of Austin, Texas.
The family will receive friends at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Home With A Heart, 220 James Mattison Road, Liberty, SC 29657.
