Henry Dale Sellheim, 81, of 315 Katie Lane, died Thursday, February 5, 2009, at his home.


Born in Hensel, North Dakota, Mr. Sellheim was a son of the late Henry and Viola Sellheim. Mr. Sellheim was a retired systems analyst/mathematician with NOAA, Department of Commerce, Silver Spring, MD. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physics from the University of North Dakota and a Masters Degree in Physics from Washington University, St. Louis, MO. He was a US Navy Veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict.


Surviving are his wife, Susan Kirby Sellheim, of the home; one son, Kurt Sellheim (Armour) of Colorado Springs, CO; two daughters, Camden Frost of Austin, TX and Jennifer Newstead (Bradley) of Tega Cay, SC; one brother, Donald Sellheim (Margie); four sisters, LaRue Van Hooser (Jim), Betty Goldstone, Marianne Bilyeu and Kay Lindell (Neil); three grandchildren, Susannah Hollar, Ross and Cara Newstead; and one great-grandchild, Dylan Hollar. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Orville Sellheim. He is also survived by 15 nieces and nephews.


A memorial service to celebrate Dale's life will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, February 15, 2009, at Easley Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the church parlor.
