Dale Anthony Stewart, 61, of 1319 Stamp Creek Road, Salem, passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2011, at Baptist Hospital Easley.

Born in Asheville, NC, Dale was the son of the late James Herbert, Sr., and Mildred Partin Stewart. He was a 1968 graduate of Clyde A. Erwin High School and a 1974 graduate of Fruitland Baptist Bible Institute. Dale was a real estate broker and appraiser and co-owner of Stewart Realty Services. A member of First Baptist Church, Easley, he belonged to the Concepts Sunday School Class. He was also an ordained minister and was involved with the prison ministry of the church. Dale and his wife were members of the Travel Masters Camping Club.

Surviving are his wife, Wanda Ball Stewart of the home; two daughters, Lori Stewart Nolte of Walterboro, and Leah Stewart Worthy of Easley; a sister, Marlene Stewart of Asheville; five grandchildren, Emily Paige Stewart-Foxx, Marilyn Elizabeth Nolte, Ella Marie Nolte, Dean Monroe Worthy and Laile Elisa Worthy; and his children-in-law, Jimmy Nolte, Jason Worthy and Lynn Foxx. In addition to his parents, Dale was predeceased by a daughter, Lisa Dale Stewart, and by a brother, James Herbert Stewart, Jr.

Funeral services will be 11:30 AM Friday at First Baptist Church, Easley, with Rev. Dr. John Adams, Rev. John Wayne Revis and Rev. Carroll Melton officiating. Entombment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park Mausoleum.

Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Thursday at Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road.

Memorials may be made to the Prison Ministry of First Baptist Church, 300 East First Avenue, Easley, SC 29640.

The family will be at 415 Rock Springs Road, Easley, SC 29642.
