Dale Robin Thompson

Dale Robin Thompson, 65, of Easley, loving husband of Paula Parker Thompson, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 18, 2023, at his home.

Born in Spartanburg County, he was a son of the late Jacque and Jacqueline Smith Thompson. Dale received his Bachelor of Arts in Education from the University of South Carolina. After graduation, he went on to work for the Anderson County Disability and Special Needs Board, working his way up to Executive Director. During his career, he was instrumental in the placement of the Walgreens Distribution Center in Anderson County which now employs many people with disabilities. Dale attended Brushy Creek Baptist Church in Easley and enjoyed playing golf, and cheering on his Gamecocks. He was known for his great sense of humor and his big servant’s heart.

In addition to his loving wife of 42 years is a daughter, Lauren Thompson Boyd (Michael); a brother, Michael Thompson; two granddaughters, Bella and Rachel Boyd; and a niece, Audrey Colin.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Stephen J. Thompson.

The family will host a memorial service at a later date.
