Daniel LeRoy Arblaster

Daniel LeRoy Arblaster, 53, of Easley passed away suddenly on Wednesday February 5, 2020. Husband of Jennifer Bates Arblaster of the home and loving father of Michael, Rachael and Sarah all of the home.

Dan was employed for Clemson University as a pilot for Clemson Athletic Department. Dan had a love for aviation from his earliest years. He purposed his passion by obtaining his degree in Aviation Management from Thomas Edison State University, New York.

In addition to his wife of 29 years and children all of the home, Dan is survived by his mother, Rose Marie Wilcox Arblaster of Central; four sisters, Lillian Sutherland of Six Mile, Jan Arblaster of Central, Tammi Smith and husband, Larry of Central, and Connie Garland and husband, Joe of Norris; his father-in-law and traveling buddy, Donnie Bates; brother-in-law, Chris Bates and wife, Missy; sister-in-law, Mandy Stock and husband, George; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Dan was predeceased by his father, Thomas Grant Arblaster; daughter, Rebecca Danielle Arblaster; and mother-in-law, Judy Bice Bates.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at 2 PM in the chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 12:30 PM until 1:45 PM.

In honor of his passion and profession as a Clemson University Pilot the family expresses appreciation for the Honorary Pallbearers; James Allison, Jr., chief pilot, Jason Williams and Mike Harris. The pallbearers are: Brandon Bates, Andrew Bates, Carson Bates, Thomas Carr, Abby Arblaster, Larry Smith, Ted Smith, Sean Pruitt.
