Danny Eugene Rhodes, 56, of 209 Bridwell Road, died Saturday, May 9, 2009, at Cannon Memorial Hospital.
Born in Pickens County, a son of the late Ervin and Edna Brooks Rhodes, Mr. Rhodes retired from the textile industry.
Surviving are his wife, Brenda Towe Rhodes of the home; four daughters, Amanda Rhodes of the home, Kimberly Smith and husband, Jeremy, of Cleveland, NC, Gypsi McCollum and husband, Jason, of Easley, and Angie Connelly of Pickens; a son, Corey Talbert and fiancee Wendy Allen, of Cleveland, NC; three sisters, Shirley Kay and husband, Harold, of Liberty, Sylvia Austin and husband, James, and Joan Ray and husband, Harrison, all of Easley; two brothers, Floyd Rhodes and Jerry Rhodes, both of Easley; two sisters-in-law, Jean Wright of Easley and Linda Towe of Six Mile; a brothers-in-law, Danny Wright of Easley and Art Towe of Six Mile; and four grandchildren, Cree Connelly and Lexie Connelly of Pickens, and Haley Talbert and Kayley Talbert of Granite Quarry, NC. In addition to his parents, Mr. Rhodes was predeceased by three brothers, Paul Rhodes, Alvin Rhodes and J.T. Rhodes and three sisters, Carolyn Holbrooks and Brenda Yates and Kathy Willard.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown, Easley. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
The family is at the residence.
