Darold Wayne Howard, 69, of 250 Gin Shoals Road, died Monday, December 3, 2012 at Oconee Medical Center.
Born in Kansas City, Kansas, he is the son of Buel Howard Jr. of Warsaw, MO and the late Martha Brooks Howard. He was a retired produce manager and quality control manager with Sysco Foods in Olathe, Kansas. Darold enjoyed fishing, camping, boating and traveling. He especially had interest in Ichthyology and Ornothology and took special pride in gardening. He was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his father and his wife, Christine, he is survived by his children, Tharon Howard and Wynona "Wendy" Howard of Six Mile, and Denise "Dee" Sammons and her husband, Don of Orange City, FL; sister, Shirley Pryor (John) of Marietta, TX; grandchildren, Bryce Howard (Jessica) of Lexington Park, MD and Logan Howard of Six Mile; and great-grandchildren, Aidan and Kierin Howard.
In addition to his mother, he was predeceased by wives, Lawana Duzan Howard and Emma Lou Johnson Howard.
Funeral services will be 11 AM, Friday in the chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, Central, SC with Dr. Randy Nichols officiating.
Burial will follow in Memory Gardens, Clemson, SC.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM, Thursday at the funeral home.
