Roger Darrell Tipton, 59, of Liberty passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at Palmetto Heath in Columbia.
Born August 9, 1955 in Greenville County, he was the son of Buddy O. Tipton and Betty Jewell Jones. Mr. Tipton was a veteran serving in the US Marines and was a building contractor. He was an outdoors man who loved to hunt and fish. Mr. Tipton loved his grandsons and was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his daughters, Rachel Tipton and Ashley Tipton; sister, Felecia Duncan; brother, Donnie Tipton; grandsons, Kayden Ferguson and Isaiah Kruz.
He was predeceased by his sisters, Tret Bates and Shannon Jones.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, prior to the service from 12:30 PM until 1:30 PM at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown.
