David Alexander

David Alexander, passed away on March 29, 2024. He was born on May 13, 1934, in Central, SC to the late Claude Oscar and Leora Bell Alexander.

David proudly served his country in the Navy. His career and military service exemplified his strong work ethic and commitment. David also worked for Duke Power as a pipe fitter, later becoming a supervisor.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, David was known for his loving personality and devotion to his family. He found joy in simple pleasures like fishing, gardening, and spending time with his social club, "The Grumpy Old Men." David was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church where he had served as a deacon.

David's proudest achievements revolved around his family and faith. He was survived by his beloved wife Dorothy Wilhelmina Alexander; Son, Robert Alexander; Daughter, Regina Alexander; Granddaughters, Juli Nicole Burgess (Michael), Jamie Lynn Martin (Dustin); Great-Granddaughter; Cameron Burgess; Great-grandsons, Chase Burgess, Caleb Martin, and Landon Martin.

In addition to his parents, David is predeceased by his many siblings who he loved dearly.

Visitation will be held at 1-1:45 PM, Monday, April 1st, 2024, at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home. Service will follow in the chapel at 2 PM. Burial will follow the service at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church of Central, SC.
