"INSIDE THE GATES"

You'll close your eyes the final time
Your soul will leave this world,
Then you'll grace the throne of God
As you pass thru gates of pearl!

Once inside those Jasper walls
Your soul will begin to sing,
Joining in with a heavenly host
Giving praises to your King.

No withered limbs will hinder you
As streets of gold you walk,
You'll sit beneath the tree of life
As to Jesus you will talk!

As he talks, you'll understand
The mysteries of this life,
Why the Father called you home
Leaving children and a wife!

Then he'll place upon your head
A sparkling, shining crown,
You'll be dressed in royal robes
As loved ones gather around.

Hand in hand on bended knees
All heads will lift to sing,
Sweet holy praises to the Lord
For he is King of Kings!

God will hear as you sweetly sing,
"My God how great thou are,
For he is the lily of the valley
The bright and morning star!"

Meanwhile we whom are left behind
Will prepare to follow you,
Staying strong thru God's great love
We'll meet when our life's thru!
