David Greene

David Edward Greene, 91, husband of the late Annette Brewer Greene, passed away Friday November 30, 2012 at Sterling House of Central.
Born in Pickens County, to the late Alfred and Rosa Pressley Greene, David attended Liberty High School. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, on the LCSL 91, in the South Pacific, and after being honorably discharged, worked as a brick mason and later oversaw masonry at Donaldson Air Force Base. Mr. Greene enjoyed growing vegetables in his garden and attending military reunions.
He is survived by two grandsons, Michael E. Greene, Jr., and David Greene, a sister, Ellen Yester, and eighteen nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by a son, Michael E. Greene, Sr.; six sisters, and one brother
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 4, 2012, in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown with the Reverend Dr. John Adams officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Easley.
Visitation will be from 12:30 P.M. to 1:45 P.M. prior to the service at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown.
