David L. Hight, 65, husband of Wanda Hester Hight, passed away Saturday, September 29, 2018 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.

David was born in Columbus, GA and was the son of the late, Everett and Madeline Gaines Hight. He was a 1970 graduate of Easley High School and was retired from Michelin Tire-Sandy Springs Plant. He was a member of Bates Masonic Lodge #189 AFM, Hejaz Shriners and of the Baptist Faith.

David was an avid guitarist, singer, golfer and loved his South Carolina Gamecocks.

Surviving, in addition to his wife of forty-two years, are his daughter, Jennifer Hight Whitmore and her husband, Everette of Greenville; and his sister, Deborah H. Pinner of Anderson.

Funeral services will be Monday, October 1, 2018 at 3:30 PM in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown. Entombment will follow in the Robinson Memorial Gardens Chapel of Reflection Mausoleum, with Masonic Rites.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 PM until 3:15 PM Monday at the funeral home, prior to the service.

Active pallbearers will be Larry Richardson, Tim Snyder, Mike Deck, Stan Duncan, Rodney Shirley and Jerry Baxter, Jr.

Escorts of Honor will be the Hejaz Directors Staff.

Memorials may be made in memory of David to the Bates Masonic Lodge #189 AFM, 439 N.E. Main Street, Easley, SC 29640; or to the Shriner's Hospital for Children, 950 West Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605.
