David Martin Pressley, 88, of 249 Cartee Road died Sunday, May 11, 2008 at the Hospice House of Anderson.
Born in Six Mile, a son of the late William Guy and Sadie Evans Pressley, he was a retired employee with Daniel Construction Company, a US Navy Veteran of WWII and was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are: one son, David Alan Pressley of Belmont, NC; one daughter, Diane P. Stegall and husband Thomas W. of Pelzer; one brother, Ernest (Sonny) Pressley of Decatur, AL; four sisters, Stella Wolf of Foxboro, MA, Evelyn Tollison of Piedmont, SC, Margaret Cain of Panama City, FL; and Virginia Kinder of Tulsa, OK; four grandchildren, Chad Pressley, Tommy Stegall, Corey Plakos and Chuck Pressley; and four great-grandchildren, Javen Stegall, Chance Pressley, Hayden Plakos and Halimeda Plakos.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Medolian Harris Pressley; one son, Greg M. Pressley; two brothers, Lloyd and Amos Pressley; and one sister Velma Porter.
Funeral services will be 3:30 PM, Wednesday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown with Rev. Louis Hart officiating.
Visitation will be from 2:30 to 3:30 PM, Wednesday at the funeral home prior to the service.
Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
The family is at his home.
