David Michael Riley, a cherished husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on March 27th, 2024 surrounded by his loving family.
Born July 13th, 1952, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, he was a son of the late Clyde and Winifred Kennedy Riley.
David proudly served in the United States Navy and traveled extensively throughout his life, having lived in various parts of the world. Beyond his military service, David had a passion for writing and wrote three historical fiction novels. His love for storytelling extended to a fascination with ghost stories, and he also appreciated exotic cars.
He is survived by his loving wife, Peggy O'Neill Riley, their children Joshua (Kathryn) of Greenville, SC; Caleb (Candi) of Roseville, CA; and Rebekah of Charleston, SC. David was also a beloved grandfather to Luna and Ansel Riley. Among those mourning his loss are his brothers Melvin (Sally) of Pueblo, CO; Patrick (Jackie) of Easley, SC; and his sister Gillian Collins of Silver Springs, NM.
A visitation will be held Saturday, March 30, 2024 from 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM at Robinson Funeral Home - Downtown, Easley.
A funeral service in honor of David will be held Saturday, March 30, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Robinson Funeral Home - Downtown, Easley.
