David Alley Sheriff, 61, of 48 Blake Street, passed away Sunday, November 28, 2010, at his home.
Born in Pickens County, a son of the late Larry Dean and Sarah Spearman Sheriff, Mr. Sheriff was a veteran of the Vietnam War having served with the US Army and received several medals and commendations including the Bronze Star and Purple Heart. He was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are a friend, like a brother, David Jenkins of Greenville; a brother, Gerald Dean Sheriff (Yvonne) of Easley; a sister, Dianne Heatherly (Tony) of Inman; four nieces, two nephews, five great-nephews and four great-nieces.
Funeral services will be at noon Tuesday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 11:00 am until noon Tuesday at the funeral home.
Family members are at their respective homes.
