Mrs. Deanna G. Gassmann, 80, wife of Reinhold A. Gassmann, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.

Born in Trenton, NJ, she was a daughter of the late John and Helen Oricchia Gurka and stepmother, Josephine Gurka.

Dee Gassmann retired, after 15 years, from Baptist Easley Hospital and was a charter member of St. Matthias Lutheran Church. She loved her family, especially her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and was very supportive of each of them. She also enjoyed reading, crocheting and cooking.

Surviving in addition to her husband of 60 years, are her children, Carol Owens (Clarence),William Gassmann (Ann), and Karl Gassmann, all of Dacusville, and Dianna Morris (Butch) of Pickens; grandchildren, Christy Jacks (Dan), Richelle Owens, Joseph Owens (Sarah), Erik Gassmann, Madison Gassmann and Koryo Gassmann, Noah Morris and Tori Morris; great grandchildren, Will, Nate, Ava, Annsley and Adison; a sister, Ellena Agin (Harold) of Hopewell, NJ; a brother, John Gurka (Lena) of Hammonton, NJ; and a niece Nicole.

Graveside services will be 4:30 PM on Sunday, October 22, 2017 at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Easley.

The family will receive friends prior to the service on Sunday from 2:30 PM until 4:00 PM at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made, in Mrs. Gassmann's memory, to a charity of one's choice.

The family will be at their respective homes.
