Debra "Debbie" Gorman

Nov 16, 1950 — Oct 30, 2026

Easley, SC

Debra “Debbie” Jo Gorman, 75, beloved sister and aunt, passed away on Friday, October 30, 2026, in Easley, SC. Born on November 16, 1950, in Pontiac, MI, she was a daughter of the late Edwin Ferris Gorman and the late Mary Eloise Turner Gorman.

She was of Catholic faith and attended St. Mary’s of the Hills in Rochester, MI, where she also previously served in the church maintenance.

Debbie will be remembered as an independent, strong-willed woman who lived life in her own way and brought that same spirit to the people around her. Her bravery and strength of character was a defining part of who she was, and it left a lasting impression on those who knew and loved her.

She also found joy in the simple pleasures that made life meaningful to her. Debbie was an avid Detroit Tigers fan, and she took great pride in working through the Detroit Free Press crossword puzzles, a pastime that reflected both her sharp mind and her determination.

As family and friends remember Debbie Gorman, they will carry with them memories of her resilience, her individuality, and the quiet ways she expressed the things she loved. May her memory bring comfort to all who mourn her passing.

She is survived by sisters; Charlotte Owings and Susan Burdette (Mike); brothers, Gary Gorman (Paula), Bert Gorman and Michael Gorman and numerous nieces and nephews.

Debbie’s family would like to thank Pruitt Health Hospice for their care and concern during her final days and especially, Brady and Hope for being such great caregivers.

In lieu of donations, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the PruittCares Foundation at 1510 N. Fant St., Anderson, SC 29621 in Debbie’s memory.

The family will hold a private memorial service in Michigan at a later date.
