Debra Lee Brown

Debra Lee Brown, 71, of Easley, wife of the late Joseph Irving Brown, Jr., passed away peacefully on August 23, 2026.

Born in Central, SC, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Lee Atkinson and Gaynell Fletcher Atkinson.

Debra was a woman who loved the simple things in life. She enjoyed sewing and took great pride in keeping her home clean. Debra loved sitting around with family and friends and having a good laugh. She was a member of West End Baptist Church in Easley. Today, she is no longer forgetting and is leaning safely in the loving arms of Jesus.

Debra is survived by her daughter, Hope Mullinax (Trey) of Easley SC and her grandchildren, Justin Parson, Cole Parson, Natalie Mullinax, Harrison Mullinax, Haley Parson, Emily Parson, Megan Parson, Kloe Armentrout, Addison Mullinax, Sara Mullinax, and Bethany Mullinax; and her great-grandchildren, Charlee Ashley and Abram Ashley. She is also survived by her sisters, Dianne Hamilton (Donnie) and Tonya Skelton (Ted). Preceded in death is her loving son Jason Parson and her beloved brother Michael Atkinson.

Though her family will miss her deeply, they find comfort in knowing that she is now reunited with her beloved husband and resting in the presence of her Lord and Savior.

The family will receive friends Wednesday 08/26/2026 from 11:00 - 11:45 am at West End Baptist Church, 120 Mission Dr., Easley, SC, 29642.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday 08/26/2026 at 12:00 pm at West End Baptist Church with Rev. Mark Tinsley officiating and guest speaker and long-time family friend Shawn Street. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery Central, SC.
