Alfred Dennis Elrod, 83, husband of Flora Simmons Elrod died Monday, April 9, 2007 at St. Francis Hospital. A native of Central, he was a son of the late McSwain A. and Bertha Stephens Elrod. He was a retired police officer with Clemson University and a Navy Veteran of World War II.
Surviving in addition to his wife is a step-son, Larry Kelly and his wife Lura of Six Mile; brothers, Doyle Elrod, Central, Tony Elrod and his wife Judy of Seneca; sister, Maxine Spearman and her husband Bob of Seneca; 5 step- grandchildren and 5 step- great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother and 4 sisters.
Inurnment services will be Thursday, April 12 at 11am at Memory Gardens in The Chapel Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Refuge Baptist Church, P.O. Box 301, Pendleton, SC 29670.
