Dennis W. Witthoeft, 74, husband of Judith Scharf Witthoeft, passed away on Friday, October 7, 2016 at his home.
Mr. Witthoeft was born in Lake George, MN, and was a son of the late, Marvin E. and Eleanor Lanum Witthoeft. He was an aircraft broker and a member of St. Andrews Catholic Church.
Dennis spent much of his working life in management positions with Montgomery Wards and was an experienced pilot and owner of ProCraft Aviation. He cherished his family above all else and acknowledged the many blessings he had received as a Father and Grandfather. He was active in his community and was a board member of United Way while in Illinois for many years as well as a staunch supporter of the Foothills Gala which benefitted local charities in Anderson, Pickens and Oconee counties.
Surviving in addition to his wife, are five sons, D. Todd Witthoeft of Zephyrhills, FL, Trent D. Witthoeft and his wife, Heidi, Travis W. Witthoeft and his wife, Stephanie all of Charlotte, NC, Troy A. Witthoeft and his wife Kayla of Lowell, NC, and Trevor J. Witthoeft and his wife, Jennifer of Clemson, SC; two daughters, Tami G. Hechtel and her husband, George of Weddington, NC and Trisha W. Warwick and her husband, Brock of Central, SC; two brothers Steve and William Witthoeft; one sister, Elizabeth Rydin and her husband, Bruce; one sister in law, Lucy Witthoeft; nine grandchildren, Elizabeth Postle and her husband Phil, Zach, Nic, Luke, and Emily Witthoeft, Kayla and Kenzie Hechtel, Azarah and Reya Witthoeft; three great grandchildren, Lily, Maisy and Eevy Postle.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Ivan Witthoeft.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 13, 2016 from 6:30 PM until 8:00 PM at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, Central, SC.
Memorial services will be Friday, October 14, 2016 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, Central, SC.
