Denver Paul Merck. 82, of 36 Charlwood Avenue,Piedmont, SC, husband of the late Beatrice Nations Merck,died Saturday, July 19, 2008 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Pickens County, the son of the late Paul B. and Theo Holliday Merck. He was a retired textile employee, a member of Senior Action and of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by two daughters; Jeraldine Turner and husband J.B. of Easley and Maxine Rua and husband Hernando of Piedmont;
two brother, Virgil Merck of Six Mile and Joe Merck of Travelers Rest; two sisters, Rosa Lee Leroy of Six Mile and Christine Leroy of Seneca; six grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three sisters.
Funeral services will be 4:00pm, Monday, July 21, 2008 in the chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral home, Central-Clemson Commons, officiated by Reverend Tim Turner with burial to follow at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Duckett-Robinson prior to the service, from 2:30 pm until 4:00 pm.
The family is at their respective homes.
