Derald Wesley Bowles

Derald Wesley Bowles, 87, husband of Bertie Mae Smith Bowles, passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2019.

Born in Litchfield, IL, a son of the late Byron Brooks Bowles and the late Verna B. Bowles, he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who was an avid reader and loved St. Louis Cardinals baseball. Mr. Bowles was a retired Businessman who was employed at Brooks Brothers Clothiers for many years. He was also a proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force who served his Country during the Korean War.

Surviving, in addition to his loving wife of sixty-four years, are a son, Austin Brooks Bowles (Cindy) of Las Vegas, NV; a daughter, Lisa Ann Mowery (Mark) of Chattanooga, TN; a brother, Lester Bowles (Joann) of Godfrey, IL; a sister, Gerry Johnston of Litchfield, IL; grandchildren, Misty Bloodworth (Jay) of Hot Springs, AR, Emily Bartlett (Brian) of Easley, SC, Avery Bowles of Las Vegas, NV, Steven Hurlbut (Yumi) of South Korea, and Lori Hurlbut of Chattanooga, TN; and great-grandchildren, Jeremiah Johnson, Evan Bartlett, and Jacob Johnson.

Graveside services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 9, 2019 in Robinson Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road, prior to the service.
