Derek James Watson, 19, of Easley died Thursday, October 9, 2008.
Born in Stuart, Florida, he was a son of George Raymond Watson, III and step-mother, Danielle Watson of Easley and Laurie Anne Grose and step-father R. Douglas Grose of Stuart, Florida.
Surviving, in addition to his parents; are a sister, Samantha Justine Watson of Stuart, Florida; maternal grandmother, Mary Jean Finlayson and her husband Kirt Finlayson of Jesen Beach, Florida and his paternal grandmother, Kala Watson of Riverview, Florida; maternal grandfather, Bill Davis of St. Petersburg, Florida; a half brother, Riley Grose of Stuart, Florida; Step-grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Robert Grose, of West Virginia; step-grandmother, Cielo Pool, of Port St. Lucie, Florida.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, at the Easley Church of God, with the Rev. T. David Sustar and Rev. Jeff Jerkins officiating. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Home With A Heart, 220 James Mattison Road, Liberty, SC, 29657
The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:00 PM at the church, prior to the service .
