DeRilla Davis Stewart

DeRilla "Rilla" Davis Stewart, 96, of 202 Herringbone Run, wife of the late Lucius "Wilson" Stewart, passed away Thursday, January 4, 2018 at McCall Hospice House.
Born in Pickens, Mrs. Stewart was a daughter of the late Lawrence Albert and Ina Rampey Davis. She was a homemaker, who loved cooking and sewing. Mrs. Stewart was the oldest living member of Easley First United Methodist Church, where she belonged to the Wesley Sunday School Class. She was active in her church including the United Methodist Women. Mrs. Stewart was honored as a Paul Harris Fellow by the Easley Rotary Club, and she was a devoted member of her Garden Club.
Surviving are two daughters, Betty Stewart Ellison and her husband, Dr. Eddie Ellison of Greenville, and Tracee Stewart Simpson of Easley; four grandchildren, Megan Ellison Carpenter (Bobby), Stewart Edwin Ellison (Beverly), Davis Anthony Simpson (Chandler), and Trent Aaron Simpson; six great-grandchildren, Zachary, Brian, Ann Stewart, and Clark Hickerson, Mac and Luci Ellison; brother-in-law, Roy Bowen of Pickens; and one sister-in-law, Beatrice Davis of Pickens. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Stewart was predeceased by one brother, Glendale "Tootie" Davis; three sisters, Janet Porter, Imogene Grant, and Marilyn Bowen; and a son-in-law, Robert Dane Simpson.
Funeral services will be 2:30 PM Sunday at Easley First United Methodist Church with the Reverend Rodney Powell officiating. Private Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 PM to 2:15 PM in the Church Fellowship Hall.
