Desiree Jeanee Thomason, 53, went to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, October 22, 2018.
Born in Greenville County, the daughter of Markola Crumpton McLaughlin of Marietta, and the late David Leon Thomason, Desiree was a graduate of Cedar Springs School for the Deaf and Blind and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Desiree had a love for music and dearly loved to watch the Golden Girls. She will be dearly missed by her loving family and all who knew her.
Surviving, in addition to her mother, are her step-father, James McLaughlin of the home; a brother, David Len Thomason (Kelli) of Lexington; a special aunt, Lenaet Bragg of Easley; a special cousin, Tammy Chapman (Eddie) of Easley; an uncle, Keith Crumpton of Anderson; her boyfriend, Greg Powell; a niece, Jenna Thomason; and four nephews, Dalton and Cameron Thomason, and Colby and Jonathan McLaughlin.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, October 25, 2018 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from noon until 1:45 PM Thursday at the funeral home, prior to the service.
