Dial Cleveland Hook

Dial Cleveland Hook, 82, of Easley, loving husband of Dee Hook, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 19, 2023, at his home.

Born in Columbia, South Carolina, he was a son of the late Grover Cleveland and Ruby Marie Hook. Dial was a committed Christ follower and a member of Covenant UMC in Greer, SC. Dial enjoyed watching NASCAR, fishing, and cheering on his Gamecocks. Above all, he loved spending time with his family and friends.

In addition to his loving wife of 59 years he is survived by a son, Rev. Darren C. Hook (LeeAnn); a daughter, Denise Mobley (John); a sister, Sadie Parler; eight grandchildren, Sydney Raeckelboom, Cassidy Bingham, Abby Hook, Anna Grace Peterson, Thomas Peterson, Evan Peterson, Caitlyn Mobley, and Brandon Mobley; and one great-granddaughter, Ellie Raeckelboom.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

The family will host a memorial service on Thursday, February 23, 2023, at 3:00 pm at Covenant UMC, 1310 Old Spartanburg Road, Greer, SC 29650.

The family will greet guests immediately following the service in the Welcome Center.
