Dianna Georgina, 57, of Duluth, Georgia, died Thursday, May 18, 2017.
Dianna was born in Olyphant, PA, daughter of the late Richard and Dorothy Polinsky Georgina. She was a 1977 graduate of Bishop O'Hara High School in Dunmore, PA, a 1981 graduate of Clemson University, a 1992 graduate of Washington University in St. Louis and earned her MA in Anthropology in 1994 from Washington University and her PhD in Cultural Anthropology from Washington State University in Pullman, Washington. Field work included in 2002 where she traveled to American Samoa and worked with Adolescent suicide research and prevention project on American Samoa, in 1992 Traveled to Rostov, Rostovskaya Oblast', Russia and an Archaeology field work while in Pullman, Washington.
After earning her PhD, she was an instructor at Washington State University, a Visiting Assistant Professor at Western Kentucky University, an Assistant Professor at University of North Dakota and an Assistant Professor at Georgia Gwinnett College. She was the President and Founder at Water Lily Pet Foundation and was an Holistic Life Coach and Cultural Anthropologist with Water Lily Holistic Life Coaching.
Surviving are her brother, Richard B. Georgina of Townville, SC; and sister, Cheryl Georgina of Clemson, SC.
A prayer service will be held on May 27, 2017 at 11:30 in St. Andrews Chapel in Clemson, SC.
The family will greet friends immediately following the service.
