Dillon Cole Padgett, 17, an eleventh grade student at Pendleton High School passed away Saturday, November 24, 2018 from injuries suffered in an automobile accident.
Born in Anderson, SC, Dillon was a son of Gena Jordan and step-father, Dusty of Pendleton and Kenny Padgett and step-mother Angelia of LaFrance. In addition to being a student at Pendleton High School, Dillon was an employee at Dairy Queen in Pendleton. In high school, Dillon was a member of the Junior Air Force ROTC, played football and was a band member. He was active with Camp Proverbs and On a Mission Group in addition to being a member of Fants Grove Baptist Church. Dillon loved spending time with family and friends, especially his brothers and his dog Peaches.
Surviving in addition to his parents are his brothers, Derrick Padgett (Emily) of Westminster and Devon Padgett (Jessica) of Pendleton; grandparents, Frank and Judy Parks of Pendleton; nephews, Landon Padgett and T.J. Padgett; niece, Addison Padgett; numerous aunts and uncles and cousins.
He was predeceased by grandmother, Linda Padgett; great-grandparents, Annie Looney Duncan, Calvin Duncan and Norris Looney.
Funeral services will be 4 PM, Thursday at Fants Grove Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 PM, Wednesday at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home.
