Dixie Ann Schmittou

Dixie reposed peacefully Monday, April 10, 2023 in Balsam Grove, NC at the home of her son David. Dixie is the widow of Charles D. Schmittou since 2010 after 50 years of marriage.

Born in Ashland City, Tennessee, February 2^nd 1, 1936, she is the youngest daughter of the late Ervan and Irene Doughten. Dixie was predeceased by brothers, Buddy and Jimmy Doughten; and sisters, Betty Oliver and Marion Winters. Dixie is survived by sons, James Von Schmittou and wife, Hilda of Spartanburg, SC and David Von Schmittou and wife, Tawnya of Balsam Grove, NC Dixie was an adored wife, mother with 11 Grandchildren and 4 Great grandchildren.

Dixie is remembered for her pious life and sincere faith and love for God and being a faithful friend and loving wife and mother.

Graveside services will be held at 10am on April 27^th 2023 at the M.J. Dolly Veteran's Cemetery. Address:140 Inway Drive, Anderson, SC 29621
