Mr. Don Victor Hendrix, 78, husband of Nina Elizabeth Garrison Hendrix, went to be with his Lord and Savior Monday, May 22, 2017.
Born in Anderson County, the son of the late Cleo Essley and Blanche Bagwell Hendrix, Mr. Hendrix retired from Norfolk Southern Railway and was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. He was a US Air Force Veteran having served during the Korean War.
Surviving, in addition to his wife of fifty-eight years, are two sons, David Hendrix (Janice) of Travelers Rest, and Michael Hendrix (Angie) of Easley; a daughter, Rita H. Delegatti (Richard) of Greenville; a sister, Myrna H. Hughes (Joe) of Pickens; six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hendrix was predeceased by his twin sister, Nancy H. Elrod.
Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Military honors.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown.
